Pharmaceutical products such as vaccines, diagnostic kits, blood samples, medicines,… need to be stored at predefined temperature and humidity levels in order to be compliant with FDA and other regulations. Therefore strict temperature and humidity control of these high value inventories is essential.

Gel-packs, used for transportation of pharmaceutical products, need to be frozen prior to shipment. 
Due to the high human and economical value of the stored products pharmaceutical companies frequently opt for full redundant refrigeration installations or critical parts of it.
